what I've been doing at school...

Figured this was well overdue.
ANYWAYS, here's a glimpse of the shit I work on at school (at least in 3D Basic Concepts class)
This was my midterm project in 3D Basic Concepts:

TADAH! Yeah.

I have this obsession...

...with drawing Thunder as realistically as possible.

This is the closest I got so far. D8 I was pretty happy with this one actually, but I'll probably redraw it AGAIN cause that's what I always do. Seriously, drawing and redrawing Thunder realistically over and over again is all I've freakkin been doing since Grade 12. And I still can't get it right!! ><

Anyways, this was drawn awhile ago but I figured I'd show it today since it happens to be his Birthday (as well as my Grandpappy's! Happy Birthday Grandpa! 8D ), which would make him 9 years old. WEIRD.

Oh, and I finished a book cover for the novel I wrote in NaNoWriMo. I'm actually really shocked at how well it came out. I mean, REALLY shocked. It's been an on and off working process since September, and honestly it looked hideous until I actually finished it.

Check it out:

Grey Hands Book Cover You'll have to click it to see the full thing.
Considering that I was using the crap ass program of Photoshop Elements to do this, I'm quite pleased.
The secret to its success is awesome textures. I got some free grungy paper textures off the net (forgot the website though...) and then used a few photos of my own to give it a special edge.
God I love textures.

I just killed a spider in my bathtub with a sears christmas catalogue...

...now imagine for a moment that you are that spider, helplessly wandering about a white and slippery wasteland with no clear way out, when suddenly a giant dark square of mass descends upon you. It's at least a thousand times your size, and the moment of you gazing upon its terror is far less than a second before its massive weight crushes every cell of your body into mush, but imagine in that tiny tiny moment the feeling of sheer horror. That terrible overwhelming sense that you're about to die.

Congratulations, you just emphasized with a spider. You will never be the same again.

Might as well do this...

....oh what?? It's a blog post! WHOA!!
Yes well, I figured since I went through all the trouble of making the damn blog, I might as well use it.
Well to summarize... here's been my "To Do List" for the last few months I've been here in Vancouver...

my To Do List of Depression
Of course the items on the list change with my class assignments but whatever.
I've been depressed lately, that's basically the jist of what that comic is saying. I drew it in Game Design class when I was feeling particularly low and was trying very hard to pick myself back up.
Actually, loooking back on it, I don't think this comic makes much sense to anyone but me. OH WELL.
Well either way, drawing these chums always makes me smile at least a little so I suppose you could say it worked.
For those of you concerned about my well being, I'm getting better. I finally got up off my ass and contacted a counselor about the whole depression thing last week so, you know, things are slowly working their way back to being reasonable.

On an entirely different and random note. My favorite sayings as of late are "That's NUTS!!" and "That's awesome." Also, I've been spending a lot of time listening to the Sad Songs Channel ---->http://ca.youtube.com/TheSadSongsChannel
Help yourself.

Home in 18 days now! 18! Count it! RAH.
